My friend Linda asked me if I had posted to my blog lately. I said, " No". Christmas got in the way but more importantly I have been having a hard time. I thought that my Blog should reflect only joy and happiness -- But would that be a true reflection on my life?! SO... I have some sort of medical problem that the drs. haven't figured out yet. Neurology appt in March 2013. Some they have- 4 bulging disks and bursitis and arthritis in my hips. Yesterday I shook so bad trying to sew pieces together for Easy street- it was quite comical. Even my voice shook. But life does go on.
I am committed to finishing Easy Street! I am behind but catching up!
Easy Street Parts 4-6
all cut out and ready to sew
Hope we get to work with these Lime greens soon!!
I guess you know what I am doing today -------

Tomorrow we will get Part 4 of the Easy Street Mystery! I don't think it will compare in excitement but I hope we will be using LIME green!
While we were waiting for Paisley to be born her Big sisters Halle and Peyton and I were baking cookies.

Mystery Monday Link Up Part 3
Well, for me that would be Parts 1-3 -- I participated in Orca Bay last year and as of this point in time I have none of the steps completed. So, when Bonnie said this one is EASY STREET - she means it. It does help that my friend Linda has been coming over and sewing with me at least once a week and that has really helped to get lots of sewing accomplished. Sewing with friends is the BEST!
To catch everyone up we started with four patches of black on white prints and a gray constant.
Then we moved onto Flying Geese - Purples and the black on white prints.
This weeks part was 64 shaded 4 patches in purples - turquoise blues and those black on white neutrals. Still have a few to complete. And for some odd reason 4 green triangles OK - LOL I wanted to get my link posted as tomorrow I will have a new Granddaughter to hold :) and not much time to post the link.
I am so enjoying doing this quilt - Not sure how Bonnie is going to put it all together, I am sure it will be fabulous though.
Happy Tuesday Everyone!

Easy Street Part II
I am busily making flying geese ---
I need to make 128 of them and I will have completed Part II --- YAY!! The only problem with that is Bonnie posted Part III this morning ---- OK but I still have till Monday till I need to post my progress on her site. I think I can do this!
I find it so interesting that I am cutting fabric, sewing it together, excited for the next clue and I have no idea what this quilt will look like. I haven't even really thought about it. I am just living in each moment ---of each piece of fabric I sew!

4-patches and flying geese
The only reason I started this blog was so I could post my progress on Bonnie K. Hunter's new mystery quilt Easy Street - You can find her directions at Quiltville.com
I am a little behind but hoping to catch up. As of today Dec 6th I have 200 4 patches and my purples and whites are all ready to cut into strips to make flying geese.

The fabrics under the four patches are just some of those that will be in this quilt.

I think once I get the hang of this blogging thing I might post about other things that make up my crazy patchwork life.
