New Quiltville Mystery..

On Ringo Lake by Bonnie K. Hunter

Another Mystery Quilt has begun.
Ringo Lake in Minnesota is where Bonnie picked the colors for the new mystery quilt
                                                 BEAUTIFUL
Colors were shared ... Coral, blues, dark brown and neutrals.
I'm doing a Bonnie Hunter quilt, Talking Turkey,  in pinks and browns right now.
I am considering changing the coral to Gold-yellows.
Will have to test it out.
First clue is not till Black Friday.
Right now I am off my feet due to a right sprained ankle.. 😞

Basket of hand quilting I may get working on tomorrow.

Scenery..

This was on the road I drove today. Beautiful!

September Retreat

I spent time in September at Pecometh Riverview Retreat center in Centreville, MD with my Guild. I had an awesome time, made a paperpieced Christmas wall, an autumn wall trio and a new tote. Can't wait to go back this winter.

Seasonal wall hangings

It has been so long since I have posted. Almost a year.. and in all that time I have been coughing.. that is right coughing.. I have been to so many drs I have lost count. I have had countless MRIs and CT scans, xrays, antibiotics and such.  I was thinking as I started to type that I should have kept up with the blog, it could have been reassurance for those out there that sometimes there is not a quick answer to illness.  I still cough.. have a new pulmonologist and he is trying his thing.  He says I am challenging. Yup.. that's me!  But, I am grateful for my life and am ready for a New Year in the hopes it will bring me Health. I know it will bring us a new Granddaughter and I will be making more quilts.  Finishing Bonnie Hunter's new Mystery Quilt Celtic Solstice. Going on 2 Quilt Retreats, camping with family, holidays and enjoying life.  Guess it isn't so bad.
  Glad to be back!

Easy Street Mystery Top Finally Done!!!

It has been so long since I posted --- but my crazy patchwork life has gotten in the way.  I went to a Quilting Retreat this past weekend and I finished Bonnie Hunter's Easy Street Mystery Quilt.  I had a couple of four patches turned around in the blocks and had to do a little unsewing. It is such a big quilt I was glad to have a nice large room to lay it out in.  Not to mention that while I was there sewing all weekend this was my view.....  The Chester River right outside.

                                                                " EASY STREET"

It was a wonderful weekend I also put together a log cabin top and part of another.  Very productive weekend of quilting and building new friendships.
